finnix-3ware-install is a command that will download the tw_cli utility (tw_cli itself is closed source so it will not be included with Finnix directly). However, 3ware does not release Linux PowerPC tw_cli binaries, x86 and AMD64 only, so there is no way to manage 3ware arrays from Linux on PowerPC.

(Finnix will still mount 3ware arrays, since the kernel modules are open source and included with Linux.)

I try to find out a way to configure and manage a RAID5 set on my PowerMac (Dual 450MHz G4 with SuperDrive DVD) with 3Ware 9550SX controller.
If I boot it with Finnix CD, would it work? Or I need to do anything like apt-get install finnix-3ware-install and setup the management utility tw_cli on my harddisk?

Thanks in advance
